How to lay slabs with Blue Circle Cement

Water

Rake

Watering can

Spirit level

Rubber mallet

Brush

Jointing sand or mortar

Remember to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear, including gloves and safety glasses, when working with cement. Additionally, always check and follow the specific instructions provided by the Blue Circle cement manufacturer. Using our guidance is your own responsibility.

Step 1


Prepare the Area
Level the area for the new slabs and make sure the ground is stable and firm.


Step 2


Prepare the Area
Pour the dry Blue Circle Slablayer mix from the tub straight onto the prepared ground and rake it level.


Step 3


Sprinkle with water
Sprinkle the Blue Circle Slablayer with water using the watering can and rake level again.


Step 4


Lay the Slabs
Lay the slabs directly onto the wetted Slablayer and tap into position using the mallet. Check final levels and alignment with the spirit level.

After allowing the slabs to cure as directed on the tub, pour jointing sand between the slabs and brush to fill the joints evenly.
