We are also a strong supporter of the Mineral Products Association (MPA) annual “Stay Safe” campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the danger of trespassing in quarries. The goal is simple – to discourage people from entering quarries uninvited and potentially putting their lives at risk. It involves the industry working closely with local communities, emergency services, the media and other stakeholders to communicate this important message.

As a responsible operator, we work hard to deter trespassers through a number of measures. These include erecting and maintaining fencing, using warning signs and security patrols as appropriate, and working with local Police Community Support Officers and other emergency services to communicate that we want people to stay safe.
