Landscapers passion for transforming clients gardens relies on Blue Circle products

On this week’s blog we caught up with Colin from All NU Landscapes to hear more about their business and their project highlight of 2020.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your business

I set up my company after working for another company and deciding I could offer more to potential clients with my drive, ideas and eye for detail. So took a leap of faith and started my own business in March 2019 and never looked back.

What attracted you to landscaping?

I kind of fell into landscaping after doing different jobs from leaving school from sales assistant to retail management, labouring, working offshore. I found myself at a crossroad in life when my father passed away and started labouring for a company and totally fell in love with it.

I love the joy and happiness we can bring to someone by transforming an outdoor space. We can pick up an absolute bog and make it a fully usable space for a family to enjoy and that reaction and thanks you receive is second to none. Enjoy what you do and it doesn’t count as work… Right 👍🏼

Talk us through a recent project.

At the moment we are currently working on a project where the family has had an amazing outbuilding built during lockdown and we have been brought into the landscape around it. The project is split between two paving areas, a small retaining sleeper wall and an area of astroturf to keep it low maintenance. They have had a mud pit for around 6 months so they are looking forward to having a nice landscaped garden back soon. Before that we transformed a standard “new build” swamp into a fully usable garden for a family with two small children.

Why do you trust Blue Circle cement products for your work?

We use Blue Circle cement products because we know from experience that they are the best in the market. We use multiple suppliers for lots of our products but we always stick to Blue Circle products for our cement & Postcrete. Blue Circle does exactly what it says it will and has never let us down👌.

What’s been your project or business highlight of 2020?

Our biggest/favourite project of 2020 was a large modern project with a brief of low maintenance, sleek, modern finish with grey tones to match into the colours of the new extension.

Sleek and modern, crisp straight lines and a slight Mediterranean feel to it. We utilised, sawn and honed paving, split wall cladding, IRO deck boards and some astroturf to achieve the clients brief.

What’s your business plans for 2021?

Our plans for 2021 are to keep delivering amazing projects to our clients, continue to learn and evolve as a company and build our brand.
